I don’t consider myself a Royalist but I couldn’t let the opportunity of William and Catherine’s Royal wedding pass me by without being there to capture such a unique moment. I am truly grateful and very lucky to have had the opportunity to take these photographs from where I was standing. It might have been an early start but I enjoyed the stroll from Marble Arch down Regents Street towards The Mall taking in the sights of London as I had never seen them before. Roads were empty and silent, shop windows adorned with flags and all things British in celebration of the Royal wedding, it was fantastic!. The atmosphere at Horseguards parade was joyous with people letting out an almighty roar at the sight of street cleaners whizzing along the route. Everyone was having fun! As more people gathered the excitement grew and then it was TIME!. A celebration of such a love between two people is an amazing thing, regardless of who they are and where they’ve come from!
So here’s a big CONGRATS to the newlyweds and wishing them many many happy years ahead! Fanni x
