October was the month for adventures, we flew to New Zealand and America visiting family and friends along the way. All photos © and taken with my 4G iPhone.

A visit to the best candy store in Los Angeles (Soda Pop) was a must. Heaven!

Beautiful New Zealand sunsets overlooking the North Shore from the Auckland’s Harbour + Muppet wedding cupcakes

New Zealand has the perfect cuppa’s and randomly meeting Stanley at the B&B in Devonport

.jpg)
Flew to San Francisco and spent 4 days walking up and down the steepest hills with a visit to Alcatraz island on the list which has an excellent tour

.jpg)
Had way too many of these vanilla milkshakes from various Retro diners and viewed some art… one of Damien Hirst’s if I remember correctly

.jpg)
Hired a mustang convertible and drove down California’s Route 1 highway stopping in Morrow Bay seeing this amazing sunset, followed by a moonset!

.jpg)
Sheer clifftop drops and varying landscapes, around each mountain bend the view was simply breathtaking

.jpg)
Arriving in Los Angeles to palm trees galore and set on the hunt to get as close to the Hollywood sign as we could

.jpg)
Decided to take a mini break away from Los Angeles and head towards Palm Springs and into the desert

.jpg)
But first a detour to Joshua Tree National Park … filled with a million of these naturally occurring stone structures scattered for miles

.jpg)
Found a 8,516 ft mountain to go up at the base of Palm Springs via a very steep cable car ride… in the middle of the desert… with an alpine forest at it’s tip

America is so vast and beautiful, so if you ever get a chance I cannot highly recommend enough doing the drive down the coastal highway and visiting as many places as you can whilst over there. And now to plan our next adventure!…
Have you done this trip before or been to any of these places? What did you think? Would love to hear your thoughts!
Thanks for stopping by.

Kim - I did a similar trip a couple of years ago, We began in Las Vegas and drove through Death Valley, Yosemite National Park, San Fran, then highway 1 all the way down to LA and San Diego. We spent a good 4 weeks doing this. IT. WAS. THE. BEST. We loved it so much that we are getting married in Vegas in April
